The growth of renewables projects in Vietnam resulted in the commencement of a major offshore wind project which engaged a known EPC the lead design and construction.

As the project progressed, the contracted EPC suffered significant delays, encountering issues ranging from site access and permits to statutory approvals and interface coordination.

Accura Consulting provided a tailored contractual solution that provided the EPC with a robust and fact-backed argument based on the contract, scope and specifications.  Accura’s position presented the Client with new arguments resulting in the Owner accepting the position put forward and stated in the contract.

Accura Consulting’s forensic delay analysis demonstrated that the majority of the critical delays where the Owner’s culpability, including failure to obtain approvals and site access permissions. Additionally, issues with preceding works and coordination caused by the Owner also occurred. 

The analysis also demonstrated our Client’s culpable delays which allowed a smooth negotiation with the owner.
