Accura Consulting was engaged to support a Kuwaiti employer following delays in its oil refinery construction projects.

Delays in the project centred around scope interpretation resulting in the employer receiving several claims from its JV contractor concerning matters of Extension of Time and other variations.

This project was a perfect example of Accura Consulting reports and advice with clarity to give clients confidence and help projects progress.

In this case, Accura Consulting experts methodically broke down and separated each claim, first in chronological order and then into delay and variation claims.

We then focussed on the scope and specifications to understand what the contractors’ responsibilities were.

Finally, we cross checked the contractors responsibilities against all matters claimed. The forensic assessment of this case found that many of the matter claimed were the responsibilities of contractor’s therefore allowing the rejection of a substantial portion of the claims.

Accura Consulting was able to apportion the delay periods to the contractor based their own acts and omissions.

Matters were settled and negotiated based on the factual robust reports and advice provided by Accura Consulting.
